I haven’t made a family session blog post in a while, but they’re coming back!
I met Amanda a year ago and I was extremely excited to do a family session with her, Chris, and their daughter, Emma. Amanda is also a wedding photographer and she’ll be helping me out this season! Can’t wait to work with her and to see what’s in store for this upcoming season. I’m beginning a lot of the prep work and I ca’n’t wait to work with all of my amazing couples. In the meantime check out pictures from Amanda’s family session below!
I’m in love with Fall family sessions because I love getting cozy, intimate shots. During this session it was a cold 20 degrees out, but Hanna, Sam, and Brixton were such good sports and Brixton only cried at the very end of the shoot, poor guy.
I went to high school with Hanna and her twin sister. Hanna and Sam just moved back to Maine. They lived in London for 3 years and worked in the heart of the city. (I’d love to photograph a wedding in London someday). After they had Brixton they decided to move back to Maine to be closer to friends and family. I’m so happy that they’re back in the hood!
Happy holidays to this beautiful and stylish family of three!
This was such a fun family session. Dan and I went to high school together and I met Clara when I moved back to Maine in 2016. They are animal lovers (my type of people). Clara and Dan were nice enough to watch Olive (my french bulldog) when I went to California a couple years back. If any of you know Olive, then you know her energy levels are off the charts. But they took her in as their own and sent me pictures the entire time I was away. Dan and Clara had their son, Levi, 8 months ago and he’s the absolute cutest. Check out more pictures below!
P.S. I could use Levi’s sweater in a women’s’ medium.
Dan and Lauryn are good friends of mine. I’ve known Dan since high school and when I met Lauryn I knew they were perfect for each other. They got married at Caswell Farm two years ago and now they have the sweetest little girl, Ireland. To celebrate her first birthday we did a family shoot near their house in North Yarmouth. To keep Ireland smiling throughout the shoot Dan played Baby Shark on his iPhone, which I permanently have stuck in my head – Thanks Dan. These three are the funniest, most down to earth people I know. I love this family so so much and I can’t wait to see more of them this winter. XO
I’m a wedding photographer and a family portrait photographer. Most of my business is in weddings, but I love working with families. Brett and Julia went to my high school in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and I’ve known them for a very long time. When they reached out to do a family session I was very excited. (Fun fact: My brother actually filmed their wedding video!). I can’t believe they’re now a family of four. We played on the beach at Ram Island Farm and hung out as the sun went down. It was a beautiful fall evening. Much love to this beautiful family. XO
I love family shoots! Maybe it’s because I’m 31 years old and my maternal instinct is kicking in or maybe it’s because I get to act silly behind the camera and no one can judge me for it. Last week I worked with this beautiful family and we decided to go to Higgins Beach, Maine for the shoot. We found the perfect little nook of shade and enjoyed the evening on the beach.
